The threats against Rep. Ansari, her family, and her staff must be met with the highest condemnation.    As the youngest female member of Congress and the first Iranian American elected in Arizona, Rep. Ansari has spent her life fighting for her community. Like me, she's supported affordable housing plans to decrease homelessness. She has also supported the JCPOA—the Iran nuclear deal under President Obama that kept us safe before Trump's war. She's also advocated for the Iranian people under this continuation of the extremist regime.   But now that she's leading the case to impeach Pete Hegseth, bad actors are trying to launch a smear campaign against her.
Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari@RepYassAnsari

I fully condemn the hateful rhetoric, lies, cruel and deliberate misinformation, and threats that my family, my staff, and I have been subjected to since the Iran War began nearly 8 weeks ago. These coordinated attacks and threats have only continued to worsen, most recently after I introduced Articles of Impeachment against Pete Hegseth. This conduct has crossed the line into threats to our physical safety, which we have reported to law enforcement. Bad actors have tried to smear my family and staff by circulating fake and AI-generated images and flat-out lying that my parents and I are not U.S. citizens. They have pushed xenophobic and sexist attacks and amplified absurd conspiracy theories about my family. They’ve even gone so far as to spread the outright lie that I am somehow tied to the regime. I will say this once and move on: these absurd allegations are entirely false and I denounce them in the strongest terms. These attacks aren’t about truth; they’re the product of desperation from those trying to distract from a failing, illegal war, rising costs of living, and an administration with no coherent strategy while Americans pay the price at the pump. And while they spread lies, American service members are being put in harm’s way, with real casualties mounting in a war that lacks both justification and direction. Let me reiterate, once again, that I have been unequivocal in my opposition to the brutal Islamic Republic regime, its repression of women, and its support for terrorism. My record on this issue is longstanding and crystal clear. My family has personally experienced the regime’s brutality.  It is in part why I am who I am today: A proud American speaking out for human rights and democracy, the rule of law, and, as a U.S. Congresswoman, the safety and security of Americans. It is also why I know the costs of freedom and stand firm against Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth’s illegal war. As a public figure, I fully expect public criticism and wholly respect Americans' constitutional First Amendment rights to free speech. I understand the high emotions during such a tenuous time for those who have family in both Iran and the United States. But I will not tolerate direct threats levied against my loved ones and staff who did not sign up for the public spotlight. I also won’t be silent as they are targeted, doxxed, and attacked online. This has not been a good-faith policy debate. It is a coordinated effort to smear, intimidate, and silence, and it will not succeed.   My duty is clear: to uphold the Constitution of the United States and to faithfully serve the people of Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District. It is the honor of my life to represent the people of Arizona in Congress, over 75 percent of whom are deeply opposed to this war. I remain committed to doing so with integrity and transparency.

Political violence, including threats, against anyone is wrong. Full stop. The threats against @RepYassAnsari, her family, and her staff are abhorrent. She is doing the job her constituents elected her to do and must be allowed to continue that work without fear of violence.

The attacks on Rep. Ansari, her family, and her staff are unacceptable. This war has caused so much human suffering, and no matter where you stand, nothing excuses the lies and hate being thrown at public servants and their families. She's an incredible leader I am proud to serve with, and I will keep standing by her side.

Republicans have stopped holding Oversight Committee hearings to help Pam Bondi avoid accountability—enabling the most egregious cover up in American history. What a joke. Here’s what’s going on.

On my personal behalf and on behalf of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, I sincerely thank President Trump for graciously accepting our request to extend the ceasefire to allow ongoing diplomatic efforts to take their course. With the trust and confidence reposed in, Pakistan shall continue its earnest efforts for negotiated settlement of conflict. I sincerely hope that both sides will continue to observe the ceasefire and be able to conclude a comprehensive ‘Peace Deal’ during the second round of talks scheduled at Islamabad for a permanent end to the conflict. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @SecRubio @SteveWitkoff @SEPeaceMissions @drpezeshkian @mb_ghalibaf @araghchi

Tonight we will take another vote to end Trump's disastrous Iran war. Republicans will oppose it. They will spend today trying to distract you (like pretending they've never heard of sarcasm). Trump's war is making Iran more powerful. That's a disaster. And Republicans want to talk about anything other than their blind support for a war that is ruining our economy, setting the world on fire, giving Iran control of the Strait, and drawing Iran/Russia/China closer together. They could stop this war now. But they won't. So they throw up obviously disingenuous smoke screens.

Tomorrow, Senate Democrats will force a fifth vote on our War Powers Resolution. Senate Republicans cannot sit on the sidelines while our servicemembers are risking their lives on the frontlines. We will continue putting them on the record until the war ends or until enough of them find the courage to vote with us to end this war.

NEW: 🚨 Iran Attempts Coup Against SECWAR Pete Hegseth @PeteHegseth In USA Via Iranian Communist Congresswoman 🚨 Is an Iranian Democrat US Congresswoman in Arizona a foreign agent working for the Iranian Islamic regime? NIAC @NIACouncil endorsed Iranian American Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari @RepYassAnsari filed articles of impeachment against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth @PeteHegseth last week. NIAC @NIACouncil has promoted lifting sanctions on Iran, they support a nuclear Iran, and many people have accused NIAC of lobbying for and promoting the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran’s own state media has called NIAC the Iranian regime’s lobbying organization in the United States. See the video below 👇🏻 Notice how the Iranian officials in the video say “be careful, this is being recorded” when someone by on the panel suggests the Iranian regime is working with Trita Parsi for lobby efforts. The Islamic Iranian regime has also allegedly posted flyers of NIAC co-founder and first President of NIAC Trita Parsi @tparsi all over Iran during the current war with the US. See photos below 👇🏻 Ansari’s attempt to remove Hegseth as the US Secretary of War @SecWar is designed to weaken America’s military at the behest of Iran and the IRGC. She should be investigated for possibly violations of material support to terrorism and possible espionage. This is why we should not allow Muslims and individuals who pretend to not be Muslim while they were born in Muslim countries and lived a Muslim life growing up to serve in elected office in America. They will NEVER be America First. They will ALWAYS protect the interests of Muslims and Islamic terrorists before our country, the United States of America. The @FBI needs to investigate @RepYassAnsari and Trita Parsi. Keep an eye on their bank accounts for suspicious activity. As I previously reported, Trita Parsi @tparsi is also a Green Card holder. He holds citizenship in Iran and Sweden. Trita Parsi is a mouthpiece for the Iranian Regime and has used NIAC @NIACouncil and the Quincy Institute @QuincyInst to push out pro-Iranian regime talking points. He should be deported next. Sources tell me Trita’s green card is allegedly being looked at by DHS. Trita Parsi is truly a threat to US National Security. @SecRubio @DHSgov @ICEgov RECEIPTS 👇🏻
