Kuki Inpi Manipur Issues “Final Ultimatum” for Release of 31+ Kuki Hostages, Sets 15 May Deadline Lamka, 14 May 2026: — The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), apex body of the Kuki tribes, has issued a “final and non-negotiable ultimatum” demanding the safe, unconditional release of more than 25 Kuki individuals held hostage in Senapati District and 6 Kuki persons at Ireng Naga by 5:00 A.M., 15 May 2026. Calling the detentions “utterly unacceptable, inhuman, and barbaric,” KIM said the continued captivity of innocent civilians amid mourning for three murdered church leaders shows a “complete breakdown of humanity and accountability.” KIM warned that failure to release the hostages by the deadline will hold concerned CSOs and responsible actors in Senapati District “fully and solely responsible” for any escalation of tension, unrest, or further conflict. While stating the Kuki-Zo people have shown “extraordinary restraint,” KIM added that “patience must never be mistaken for weakness” and it will not remain silent while civilians are held hostage. The ultimatum was addressed to the Governor, DGP, and district officials of Kangpokpi and Senapati. #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #KukiInpi #KukiInpiManipur #KIM #FinalUltimatum #HostageCrisis #Senapati #IrengNaga #KukiZo #ChurchLeaders #Manipur #ManipurViolence #ReleaseHostages #StopTheViolence #PrayForManipur #NortheastIndia

UKNA Mourns Slain Kuki Church Leaders, Blames NSCN-IM and ZUF-Kamson, Warns “Wait is Over” 14 May 2026: — The United Kuki National Army (UKNA), Government of Kuki-Gam, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic killing of three Kuki church leaders and extended condolences to the bereaved families and churches. In its press release dated 14 May, UKNA alleged that the NSCN-IM has been propagating “lies and fabricated narratives” since the Litan Incident to divert its movement for Separate Administration (UT). It further accused ZUF-Kamson of acting as proxies of NSCN-IM in furthering “divisive and misleading campaigns.” Stating it had “remained silently observant for long” hoping for peace and Christian values to prevail, UKNA declared, “the wait is now over.” The group said any untoward incident or consequence arising from now onward “shall be the sole responsibility of the NSCN-IM and its proxies.” #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #UKNA #UnitedKukiNationalArmy #KukiGam #KukiPastors #ChurchLeaders #NSCNIM #ZUFCamson #LitanIncident #SeparateAdministration #Manipur #ManipurViolence #JusticeForPastors #PrayForManipur #NortheastIndia

The Kuki Inpi expresses its strongest condemnation and deepest anguish over the cowardly and barbaric ambush allegedly carried out by the ZUF-Kamson faction and VBIGs upon Kuki-Zo Church leaders and civilians today between Kotzim and Kotlen areas, resulting in the tragic death of three individuals, namely, Rev. V. Sitlhou, Rev. Kaigoulen and Pastor Paogoulen, and leaving five others critically injured and battling for their lives. Among the deceased, Rev. V. Sitlhou is a respected Church leader and peacemaker who had only recently led the peace mission alongside the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) in Kohima to foster peace, reconciliation, and mutual understanding between the Kuki-Zo and Tangkhul communities. During the meeting, Christian leaders from both communities deliberated upon peaceful coexistence, restraint, and dialogue as the only path forward amidst growing tensions. It is therefore profoundly heartbreaking and enraging that a man who dedicated himself to peace and reconciliation should fall victim to such a merciless and calculated act of violence. The Kuki-Zo people, despite repeated provocations, intimidation, and targeted aggression, have exercised maximum restraint in the interest of maintaining peace and preventing further escalation. However, today’s heinous ambush upon unarmed Church leaders and civilians constitutes a direct assault on the spirit of peace itself. Further, Kuki Inpi questions the intent and timing behind such a heinous and cowardly attack at a moment when sincere peace initiatives and dialogue were being encouraged by Church leaders and civil society organisations to foster understanding and restore harmony between communities. It is therefore urgent that the Government of India immediately initiate a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly identified and brought to justice. Equally urgent is the need for all civil society organisations, churches, and democratic forces to unequivocally condemn this inhuman act and stand firmly against targeted violence upon innocent civilians and religious leaders. Kuki Inpi Manipur further urges the Kuki-Zo people to remain united, vigilant, and steadfast during this difficult and painful time. The repeated targeted attacks against the Kuki-Zo community, if met with inaction, will only severely endanger the already fragile prospects of peace and coexistence in the region. While efforts toward peace and reconciliation are always welcome and necessary, barbaric crimes such as this are utterly unacceptable and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. Kuki Inpi Manipur conveys its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prays earnestly for the speedy recovery of those who remain critically injured. #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #Manipur #Kangpokpi #TBA #ThadouBaptistAssociation #UBCConference #Lamka #Churachandpur #Kotzim #Kotlen #ZUFKamson #VBIGs #RevVSitlhou #ManipurViolence #ChurchLeaders #BreakingNews #NortheastIndia #PrayForManipur #ViolenceAgainstCivilians #PeaceInManipur #ChristianCommunity @guardiannews @BBCWorld @BBCBreaking @Daily_Express @DailyMailUK @standardnews @EveningStandard @itvnews @GBNEWS @BreitbartNews @AmericanThinker @DrTurleyTalks @CosmanEmilSSTJ @ChristianPost @DeclaracionDDMM @india_NHRC @ISHRglobal @HRF @rights_india @RightsGAC @UNHumanRightsEU @UNOCHA @amnestysasia @AIIndia @amnesty @ICRC @IndianRedCross @indSupremeCourt

TRIBAL IN CHRIST! Thank you so much to the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum for initiating the peace process for the people of Ukhrul/Kamjong, and to all the Naga women prayer warriors from Kangpokpi and Senapati Districts who came to the heart of Kanggui at Thomas Ground this morning to pray. I hope the sanctity of this prayer-led initiative for peaceful coexistence between the two communities will be respected and followed by both communities, particularly in Ukhrul and Kamjong Districts. My humble appeal to various Meitei civil society organizations and their hardline sections who spread nothing but disinformation 24/7 — COCOMI, FOCS, Haomee Federation, AMUCO — and the armed group Arambai Tenggol: please stop interfering in and fueling tensions within tribal communities. @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @rashtrapatibhvn @PIBHomeAffairs @GoI_MeitY @MIB_India @BDUTT @vijaita @TanushreePande @ShashiTharoor @virsanghvi @KaranThapar_TTP @NELiveTV @republic @hoihnu @Nagaland_India @makesyoucakes @Nagaland_Post @NagalandPage @morungexpress05 @ukhrultimes @BhallaAjay26 @YKhemchandSingh @KonthoujamG @meiteiheritage @TheSangaiExpres @PoknaphamNews @ukhrultimes @LIANGMAIPOST @tangkhulnews @rlungleng @khanuithotkhon @WungMedia

Her husband was killed after being labeled an “illegal immigrant.” Now his pregnant wife must stand before the world and prove that her own husband belonged to this land. Imagine that pain. Grieving a murdered husband while carrying his unborn child… and still being forced to defend his identity. Nobody sees her tears. Nobody feels her grief. This is not justice. This is cruelty. 💔

Identity documents, including Aadhaar cards and electoral rolls, verify that Thengkhogin Baite and Thangboimang Lunkim, found dead and bound in Thawai Kuki village on March 12, were Indian citizens and registered voters from Manipur. Countering social media claims of "illegal immigrants," records list Baite (EPIC MMJ0339218) from Phungyar AC and Lunkim (EPIC CRP0355644) from Saikul AC, displaced since the 2023 violence. Kuki-Zo groups urge verified facts, restraint, and a thorough probe into the incident amid ongoing tensions. #ManipurViolence #KukiZo #FactCheck #KamjongIncident #NortheastIndia
