This is one of the THOUSANDS of street dogs that roamed Istanbul in the Turkey Ataturk built, waiting for the light to change. Local businesses and individuals kept food and water out for the dogs, the city had a program to catch and release them with rabies shots and neutering. During COVID the city put food and water stations everywhere. I shared many a dinner with wonderful dogs that would sit quietly next to my table on patios all over Beziktas. As the Islamist Erdogan tightened his grip on Turkiyë, and deposed the Mayor of Istanbul, the city program changed. Now they catch them and kill them. Turkey is becoming Iran. I’ll take dogs over radical Muslims any day. @RepFine was right.

We had a choice between a Iran having a nuclear weapon or gas prices raising for a few weeks.... Since some of you don't even know if you're a man or a woman. Trump decided for you. You can now go back to cleaning the lipstick out of your beard.

@InnaVernikov @NYCMayor So just walk down the public sidewalk, stepping on all the prayer mats. Surely the “religion of peace” adherents wouldn’t commit assault, right?

This is an ALL GIRLS Jewish school in my district. I’m all for prayer and free speech, but why do a bunch of GROWN MEN need to do this right outside of a school full of little Jewish girls??? Is not this what MOSQUES are for? Is this intentional? Mayor Mamdani @NYCMayor any words of wisdom on why all of a sudden they’d feel compelled to do this?

@ThoughtCrimes80 So TSA did (for once) their actual job, correctly. United “customer service” sucked. She took a CHECKED BAG through security as a carry on, because United sucks (or she was a good hour later than the recommended time for international flights…) And she puts all the blame on TSA.

The cab is way too small for long-haul trucking, so that’s not an available market. I know that I worked for a company that had a single semi running from Dallas TX to Nogales MX and back weekly - with chargers at both ends and one or two along the route, a Tesla Semi would have saved us a huge amount. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Tesla Semi has an easy potential to take over a $1 trillion market by taking over the trucking industry Most people still don’t understand how massive this could become and where it's actually getting to The trucking industry runs on extremely thin margins For many fleets, fuel is one of the biggest operating costs and Tesla Semi directly attacks that problem • Tesla Semi offers ~500 miles of range • Megawatt charging can recover ~60% range in ~30 mins • Operating costs are significantly lower than diesel trucks... • Tesla is targeting production of 50,000 Semis per year • Electric drivetrains also reduce maintenance and downtime compared to traditional semis This is why major fleet operators are paying attention And when entire fleet is operating on electricity...it gives owners peace of mind from getting affected by rising diesel costs For trucking companies, even small efficiency gains can massively impact profit margins across thousands of trucks And unlike passenger EVs, commercial fleets make decisions almost entirely based on economics: • Fuel savings • Lower maintenance • Higher uptime • Better reliability • Lower cost per mile Tesla Semi is now securing massive orders and top ratings, creating an economic advantage that diesel fleets can no longer afford to ignore It has also become the drivers' favorite choice What makes this even bigger: Tesla is not just building the truck It's also building: • The battery systems • The software stack • Megawatt charging infrastructure • The entire energy ecosystem around the fleet That level of vertical integration is extremely difficult to compete against The global trucking market is enormous, and even capturing a small percentage could create one of Tesla’s biggest businesses ever Robotaxis, Optimus, and consumer vehicles often become the major focus for people But Tesla Semi may end up becoming one of the company’s most important industrial products of the decade

@rama_deneb @otolz_ People hunt elephants for sport? Elephants are used in bullfighting? And dogfighting? Or do you believe that all animal species are equal? A rat is as intelligent as a dog or an elephant? A rat is as useful as an elephant? 🙄

@davidmedic81 We want VOTES on bills - on the record - not “procedural rules” that make it where nothing ever gets on the record so voters know when their representatives are acting against their constituents. BRING IT TO THE FLOOR!

#majorRichardStarAct Mark Takano introduced H.Res. 1247 on April 30, 2026, to force consideration of the Major Richard Star Act. Under House rules, because this is a special rule resolution sent to the Rules Committee, there is a required waiting period before signatures can begin. The seven legislative-day waiting period you mentioned is correct in principle. Based on the timeline, May 18 being the opening day for signatures sounds plausible. What matters politically now is this: Once signatures open, every signature becomes public. They need 218 signatures. Democrats will probably sign at a very high rate. The real battlefield is Republicans who already cosponsored the underlying Major Richard Star Act. You’re probably right that this cycle is different politically. The GOP already has over 100 Republican cosponsors on the underlying bill, and medically retired combat veterans are one of the hardest groups politically to oppose publicly. Midterm pressure absolutely increases the odds leadership may quietly tolerate some defections. But here’s the key distinction: Supporting a bill as a cosponsor is politically easier than signing a discharge petition. A discharge petition is viewed inside the House as directly challenging leadership control. That is why historically many petitions stall somewhere between 190–215 signatures. Leadership pressure becomes intense near the finish line. Still, the environment here is unusually favorable because: the issue polls well, it has bipartisan backing, it directly affects combat-wounded veterans, and the Republican majority margin is small. That combination makes this much more viable than a normal discharge effort. If Democrats stay unified, they likely would only need a few dozen Republicans to sign. The biggest unknown is whether House GOP leadership decides: to fight it aggressively, or to allow enough members to sign to avoid political damage with veterans before the midterms. I would not call passage guaranteed yet — but I do think this is one of the stronger discharge petition efforts the veterans community has had in years. Hey Republican Leadership @SecWar supports the Major 🌟 Act. Hey it’s #midterms also. One more the administration supports this bill! @SpeakerJohnson @SteveScaliseGOP @RepBost @RepMikeRogersAL @RepAdamSmith @SVACGOP @SenDuckworth @HouseAppropsGOP @HouseGOP @RulesReps @virginiafoxx @RepJuliaLetlow @RepMarkTakano @RepTroyCarter @RepFields #Louisiana @AmericanLegion @SVACDems @HASCDemocrats @HASCRepublicans @VetWarriors @VFWHQ @wwp @DavidWarrenVet @DeptVetAffairs @SecWar @POTUS @VP

@HouseVetAffairs — I genuinely mean this: I love seeing this post. Due process. Constitutional integrity. The Second Amendment. These are not slogans — these are the bedrock promises made to the men and women who put on the uniform and signed a blank check to this country. So since we are already on the subject of keeping promises to veterans... a quick follow-up. Hear me out. 76 United States Senators cosponsored H.R. 2102, the Major Richard Star Act. More than 300 House members signed on. It is, right now, the MOST COSPONSORED BILL before the entire United States Congress. And yet — there it sits. Collecting dust. While combat-wounded, medically retired service members lose between $1,200 and $1,900 every single month because the government offsets their military retirement pay against their VA disability compensation. These are NOT two payments for the same thing. Retirement pay compensates YEARS OF SERVICE. VA disability compensates a DESTROYED BODY. Taking one because a veteran has the other is not complicated policy. It is theft. Period. H.Res. 1247 — the discharge petition — exists to bring H.R. 2102 to the floor for a vote, right now, without waiting for the one senator blocking it to change his mind. The signatures are there. The will is there. The math is there. Sign H.Res. 1247. Pass the Major Richard Star Act. No more "all talk, no action." @MajorStarAct @StarActEnemies @GuntherEagleman @catturd2 But what do I know — I am only a medically retired combat medic who watches fellow veterans die waiting for Congress to honor a promise it already signed its name to. #MAGA #Veterans #majorrichardstaract

To the people bitching in the comments. I dare you to look the parents of these angels in the face and say "My gun rights are more important than their lives" and if you do...... then look in a mirror and see how deep you've fallen into the darkness to recognize how a piece of metal has more value to you than human lives.

I heard the other day that being on the left causes depression and other medical disorders. I think that is the opposite, the left chooses... Grooms the people to be their pawns. Like a narcissist, a cult leader, or an Epstein... They know how to identify them and keep them.

What's the negative, exactly? AI doesn't harm anyone. AI provides expert level answers to questions being posed to it. AI accommodates a new skill set for everyone known as vibe coding. Where AI does go wrong, in terms of hallucinations and incorrect information, the instance are rare, and often self correcting. When improperly used by those with nefarious intent, AI often redirects those individuals to seek help for their emotional problems.

The Met Police are set to use facial recognition at the Unite The Kingdom event in London this weekend. For months, we have witnessed “Free Palestine” marches in London where there was open support for terrorist groups. Chants like “Globalise the Intifada,” which openly calls for violence against Jews, were tolerated, alongside people covering their faces and wearing headbands representative of proscribed terrorist organisations. And the gormless Prime Minister and his government? They did absolutely nothing to stop it, and absolutely nothing to introduce stronger policing measures. It is an indisputable fact that Islamic terrorism remains one of the most significant terrorist threats Britain faces. MI5 themselves have repeatedly confirmed that the majority of their live counter terrorism investigations are linked to Islamist extremism. And yet, the government turned a blind eye to all of it. Instead, they seem to believe the Unite The Kingdom event is what poses some sort of threat, despite the fact that the last time it was held it did not spark uncontrollable violence or riots. This is simply an authoritarian tactic designed to silence and intimidate people who oppose the current government. Once again, this is another example of two tier policing and two tier justice.

American staff took everything Chinese officials handed out - credentials, burner phones from WH staff, pins for delegation - collected them before we got on AF1 and threw them in a bin at bottom at stairs. Nothing from China allowed on the plane. We’re taking off shortly for America
