“Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things” Philippians 4:8

“You can’t be the party of freedom and control women’s bodies. You can’t be the party of family and love your guns more than our kids. You can’t be the party of faith and worship at the feet of Donald Trump.”

This is exactly why the @TexasGOP must continue to endorse in non-partisan school board races. There is nothing conservative or Republican about a school board trustee who applies the Miller test to a book reconsideration because she feels like it. The modified Miller test isn't written into HB 900, other than what exisists in the definition of harmful materials in Texas penal code. It DOES NOT apply to the mandated standards that prohibit sexually explicit and pervasively vulgar books in Texas public schools. Believe me, I made sure of that. When we see superintendents and board trustees who want to debate the law, rather than comply with it, we have a problem. Do these board trustees think they get to debate whether or not they have to stop at a traffic light or stop sign, too? The debate is over. The law is the law. Comply with it. And, as far as this board trustee is concerned. I look forward to the SREC endorsing her Republican opponent. @rdgarcia03 #txlege @teainfo @TXSBOE
