An intensive cleaning drive was carried out along Binny Mill Road, covering the stretch from Arogya Soudha to Binny Mill Circle in Ward 121 – Cottonpet, Gandhinagar Division.

🧹 Flyover Cleaning Drive
The Anand Rao Circle Flyover was cleaned by the Solid Waste Management (SWM) team of Bengaluru Central City Corporation as part of efforts to maintain cleanliness and improve the appearance of key city junctions.
The flyover is one of the busiest gateways connecting western parts of the city with central Bengaluru, making regular maintenance and cleaning important for hygiene and public safety.

●The project is made into 2 packages:
1. Silk Board to Iblur Junction (5.44 km): ₹143 crore.
2. Iblur Junction to KR Puram (11.57 km): ₹307 crore.
●At least ,1 additional traffic lane.
●Uniform, wider footpaths & continuous cycle tracks.
●Bus Stops will be moved to the footpath side.
● Shall be a #Traffic solution to about 6.42 lac employees & 3.38 lac personal vehicles & others /day.

Sirs this was a petty shop that has been made to permanently encroach footpath by BBMP contractor while relaying footpath with tax payer's money. Are footpaths meant to be for pedestrians or for street vendors?. BBMP AEE refuses to take action as he is constantly under duress.

Hopefarm–Channasandra Road is one of the highest traffic density roads in the area and is almost always in poor condition. Getting a fully asphalted road here feels like sheer luck, and it was resurfaced only recently. 🍀
What followed immediately afterward is a crime and a shame. The entire stretch has been dug up again for pipeline work. sheer negligence and a complete lack of coordination between departments. Do they even have brains!?

Air quality is falling, garbage cess is rising, and the city is literally burning.

Capacity Issues: How is this road expected to handle water tankers, school buses, and daily traffic? Even one large vehicle stalls the flow entirely.
Widening & Land Acquisition: The long-pending land and legal issues with 3-4 properties block proper widening. How can individual households outweigh the GBA or the Karnataka Government when public welfare is at stake?
Accountability & Standards: Who approves these projects as “complete”? What safety and width standards are applied for critical roads?
