A 19-year-old boy from Odisha gets a second chance at life. From Dhenkanal in #Odisha, he has been living with end stage kidney disease for several years. As his condition worsened, doctors advised a transplant as the only option for long term survival, and his mother stepped forward without a second thought to donate her kidney. The family did everything they could to arrange the cost of the surgery, but they still needed support to cover the remaining amount. We are deeply grateful to our #PromiseBank depositors who came forward without hesitation and helped cover that crucial part of the payment for his treatment. Anonymous supporters from Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, London, Delhi and Cuttack, along with @harishskothari, @sidhmish and Nidhi Arora, your kindness made this possible. We also thank Anil Sahoo for helping the family reach out at the right time. With this timely support, he successfully underwent his kidney transplant at @KIMSBBSR.
