DI President Amb @MAshrafHaidari has been responding to US and international press questions about the status of Afghan SIV, P 1-4, and regular resettlement applications. He is relentlessly advocating for all of them without any distinction. Every legal case deserves support!

An SIV applicant from Afghanistan, a refugee from Ukraine, or a forgotten displaced person from Africa, we are their voice in Washington-DC without any distinction. The same conditions of war in different contexts have driven them out. Conflict resolution is the long-term response, but resettlement is the solution today. @IKAZIII Not until the EO is signed. And whole flights should not be canceled, but individuals will be likely delayed

To be clear: flights have not yet been canceled for anyone. As soon as refugee admissions are paused by executive order, all refugees slated to enter the US within the next 4 months will be pulled from manifests. UNLESS they inject the appropriate nuance into the orders.

@shawnjvandiver Please confirm or provide information it will effect the COM approval process or chief of mission decision or not. I mean what about applicants who are waiting for COM APPROVAL and their documents are verified by HR and direct supervisor.
