Geothermal is affordable, renewable, and one of our best tools for securing American energy dominance. But years of red tape is standing in the way. @RepMaloyUtah and I held a panel with @TimMLatimer and the bipartisan Build America Caucus on speeding up these energy projects.

FITZPATRICK & SUOZZI planning to intro a bipartisan proposal to end the DHS shutdown Full funding at previously agreed upon levels + ICE reforms including on body cameras, training, entering sensitive locations, on-officer identification & independent investigations It would prevent ICE agents from wearing masks but also crack down on doxxing & would require judicial warrants for criminal arrests - attempting compromise on key sticking points in talks

The U.S. ended 2025 with $38 trillion in debt and a $1.8 trillion deficit. That level of borrowing puts upward pressure on interest rates — driving up mortgage payments, car loans, and credit card costs for families. Our Fiscal Stability Framework seeks to create a bipartisan, bicameral commission to stabilize the debt. crfb.org/blogs/lawmaker…

During National Nutrition Month, we’re reminded that every family deserves access to healthy food — no matter their financial situation. That’s why we endorsed the Hot Foods Act as part of our bipartisan Affordability Agenda. It modernizes SNAP so families can use benefits to buy hot, prepared meals, like rotisserie chickens. This is a commonsense reform that reflects the reality of what families actually need to put food on the table.

March is Women’s History Month — a time to honor the women whose courage and sacrifice shaped America. Five years after Congress approved the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum, there’s still no site for the museum. That’s why the Problem Solvers Caucus proudly backs the bipartisan Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum Act, led by @RepNicole and @RepDebDingell, to build the museum where it belongs: on the National Mall.

Couldn’t agree more! Child care is essential for families, businesses, and communities. Expanding access to affordable, quality care is a big win for working parents AND the economy.
Problem Solvers Caucus@ProbSolveCaucus

Child care is one of the fastest-growing expenses for working families. According to @FirstFiveYears, child care costs have climbed 29% from 2020 to 2024, with parents now paying more than $13,000 on average annually for basic care. This is completely unaffordable for most American families. That’s why our Affordability Agenda lays out a roadmap to make quality child care more affordable and accessible.

We are thrilled to see @SenJohnCurtis and @SenAngusKing introduce the Fiscal Commission Act in the Senate. A bipartisan fiscal commission remains the most viable path to address our nation’s ballooning national debt. We are ready to work with our colleagues in both chambers to get this across the finish line.
CRFB.org@BudgetHawks

NEW🚨@SenJohnCurtis and @SenAngusKing recently introduced the Fiscal Commission Act, a bipartisan bill that would establish a fiscal commission to address the nation’s increasingly unsustainable debt and deficits. They’re joined by 8 additional cosponsors from both sides of the aisle, including @SenBillCassidy, @ChrisCoons, @SenKevinCramer, @SenTimKaine, @SenatorShaheen, @SenThomTillis, @MarkWarner, and @SenToddYoung. The legislation builds on the broad and bipartisan support we’ve seen toward establishing a commission, including similar legislation introduced in the House by the leaders of the Bipartisan Fiscal Forum last year and the support of the Problem Solvers Caucus, a majority of the Senate, and a diverse group of experts and outside thought leaders. Over 260 current lawmakers have supported a fiscal commission in some capacity in the last few years. The following is a statement from @MayaMacGuineas, president of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget➡️

The Problem Solvers Caucus is proud to endorse the Invest to Protect Act, led by @RepJoshG and @RepMikeLawler. This bipartisan legislation will help local law enforcement agencies recruit, retain, and support police officers — ensuring smaller departments have the resources they need to serve and protect their communities.

So proud to see this moving forward. Deepfake abuse is devastating and no one should have their image used without consent. Thank you to the leaders working to protect victims and hold perpetrators accountable. This is a huge step forward. 💕✨

Today, the Problem Solvers Caucus announced its endorsement of the DEFIANCE Act, led by @RepBrianFitz & @RepTomSuozzi. The bipartisan bill empowers victims of nonconsensual deepfake pornography to hold perpetrators accountable in court. We thank @ParisHilton for her advocacy and devotion to this issue.

Premium subsidies may ease the pressure for families today, but they don’t fix the underlying problems in our health care system. Last week I joined colleagues in the Problem Solvers Caucus to discuss why lasting reform requires structural changes and genuine bipartisan work. As I said during the conversation, the real measure of success is whether working families can afford care without relying on federal subsidies. More here:  riponsociety.org/2026/02/proble…

Electricity prices are up, driven in part by rising electricity demand from AI and data centers. We look forward to working with the President and our colleagues to ensure the companies using the energy are the ones paying for it, not working families. nytimes.com/2026/02/25/cli…

We're encouraged to see bipartisan permitting reform talks resume in the Senate. As our energy demand continues to increase, we can’t afford to let politics stand in the way of commonsense reforms to make our permitting process more efficient and predictable. Our bipartisan Permitting Reform Framework shows that Democrats and Republicans already agree on 90% of the reforms needed — now let’s work together and get to YES. reuters.com/world/us/senat…

🚨NEW: @ProbSolveCaucus Endorses the Fiscal Contingency Preparedness Act ⤵️ The bill – led by @RepBenCline and @RepGolden in the House and @SenToddYoung and Sen. @MarkWarner in the Senate – would require annual assessments ("stress tests") of the government's fiscal resilience in the face of potential domestic or international emergencies. The Problem Solvers' endorsement underscores the importance of ensuring the U.S. is prepared for future stresses, especially given our increasingly unsustainable fiscal path. It is the latest in a series of bipartisan statements of support. ➡️Learn more: crfb.org/blogs/bipartis….

Today, the Problem Solvers Caucus announced its endorsement of the Fiscal Contingency Preparedness Act, led by @RepBenCline & @RepGolden.  This bipartisan bill would require Treasury and OMB to conduct annual “stress tests” of federal finances, helping policymakers identify vulnerabilities and implement reforms so we’re prepared when the next crisis hits.
