Drivers jumping red lights in London is so common I usually don’t bother, but this was blatant & nearly took out the woman crossing the road (who sensibly waited.) This driver accepted 3 points on his licence & got a £100 fine. @MikeyCycling @LambethCyclists @LambethLivingSt

@VincentStops @willnorman I nearly witnessed a head on collision only other day between two cyclists! That was on a segregated track adjacent to the road. If the cyclists were using the road I doubt they would be riding in the wrong direction! Just some food for thought!

The only evidence @willnorman has that cycle tracks are safer is a single piece of research produced by Westmister University looking at the injury odds of a collision comparing the tracks in isolation to the intersections. In the real world serious injuries are soaring.

@unbowedheretic @BobFromAccounts I don’t think anyone has a problem with that buddy, as long as you’re not whining when the 5 minute journey takes 10 minutes because of heavy traffic.

@BobFromAccounts A "5 minute journey" can be a 1.5 hour walk at 60-70mph. That said, I'll take a 5 minute drive at any distance I like, as and when I want to, in my car that I pay the government for the privilege of owning, using fuel that I pay the government for the privilege of buying.

@indieHackney @mayorofhackney @hackneycitizen There has been no “dramatic increase in serious rd accidents” on Dalston Lane. It’s always been a dangerous road/area. Camera was installed in 2016 after 11 serious incidents in 3 years, including a cyclist death in 2016 iirc. Overall trend is safer streets.

Another collision on Dalston Lane today. Thankfully, the school was in session & police have assured me nobody was hurt. Since LTNs this residential rd has seen a dramatic increase in serious rd accidents. Another result of @mayorofhackney sacrificing some roads. @hackneycitizen

@TheFox89688362 Can’t wait to see huge numbers of dangerous drivers fined and banned before they kill more innocent pedestrians, cyclists and children.

Albert Bridge - never intended for cars - has been damaged by them. It’s now a great bridge for pedestrians and people on bikes. Let’s keep it that way. 1/3 c.org/pwCT2cCLBD

These lads have strapped two Lime scooters together with a wooden pallet and created a 5 man electric go-kart, amazing work 😅

Another serious collision in Tulse Hill involving a car & bus on Norwood Rd. A sombre reminder of the jeopardy around the gyratory and the roads onto it. Sign the @TransformTH petition to the Mayor demanding action to make our roads safer: linktr.ee/TransformTH@norwoodforum

@AngieBeatDown Surely it’s the driver’s fault - doesn’t matter if it’s an illegal scooter, you can’t just knock a kid off one.

Teenager got hit off their e-scooter in the road today near where I live. It’s an aweful situation. How many more of these accidents are going to happen. There’s a reason e-scooters are banned.

Once they’ve pushed taxes as far as they can, they start introducing extreme rules just so they can fine you instead. Welcome to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@BBCTomEdwards Good. Would also like to see width restrictions in some areas to reduce speeds and even ban SUVs from certain streets
