Azad, General Secretary of Ward No. 20 Jubo League in Sabujbagh, was a suspect in two cases—one under the Anti-Terrorism Act and another under Section 326 of the Penal Code. On March 3, Mr. Azad suffered a brain stroke while in jail custody. His appointed lawyer mentioned the matter before the Honorable High Court Division on March 8, 9, and 10, informing the court that the accused had suffered a stroke and was admitted to the ICU of Tajuddin Medical College Hospital. Considering his critical condition, the lawyer requested an expedited hearing. However, the Honorable Court did not take the matter into consideration. On March 11, his bail was granted as per the scheduled order. He was released on bail on March 18. After his release, his family arranged for medical treatment, but according to doctors, it was already too late. Yesterday, Mr. A.K. Azad passed away. His wife and young children cried out in anguish, believing that the lawyer had failed to properly convey to the judge that Azad was in the ICU—because, in their view, no judge could be so inhumane. As a lawyer, I have no answer to this accusation. I can only say to the honorable judges: people still have unwavering faith in you. Please listen to the lawyers and take appropriate action. Lawyers do not seek personal favors or mercy from the court; they simply represent individuals seeking justice. বায়তুল মোকাররমে ১১ দলের মুনাফেকিঃ ৫০১ মামুনুলের দলের বক্তব্য 🤡 গতকাল বাইতুল মোকাররমে ১১ দলের কর্মসূচিতে এনসিপি’র নারী নেতৃবৃন্দের অংশগ্রহণ নিয়ে যে আলোচনা-সমালোচনা চলছে, সেই প্রেক্ষিতে প্রত্যক্ষ অভিজ্ঞতা থেকেই কিছু কথা বলা প্রয়োজন মনে করছি। যারা শুভাকাঙ্ক্ষী হিসেবে বিষয়টি নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তুলেছেন, তাদের জানার স্বার্থেই এই ব্যাখ্যা। আর যারা এটিকে কেবল মাওলানা মামুনুল হককে ঘায়েল করা বা প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ করার মোক্ষম সুযোগ হিসেবে নিচ্ছেন, তাদের নিয়ে সময় ব্যয় করার কোনো প্রয়োজন দেখি না। নারীদের অংশগ্রহণের বিষয়ে বাংলাদেশ খেলাফত মজলিসের অবস্থান: প্রোগ্রাম চলাকালীন বাইতুল মোকাররমের সিঁড়িতে এনসিপি’র নারী নেতৃবৃন্দের উপস্থিতি লক্ষ্য করা মাত্রই আমাদের সংগ্রামী মহাসচিব মাওলানা জালালুদ্দীন আহমদ তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে বিষয়টি জামায়াতের সহকারি সেক্রেটারি ড. হামিদুর রহমান আজাদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করেন। আজাদ সাহেব উত্তরে জানান, তিনি পূর্বেই তাদেরকে নিষেধ করেছিলেন; কিন্তু তারপরও তারা উপস্থিত হয়েছেন। তিনি এ বিষয়ে এনসিপি’র সদস্য সচিব আখতার ভাইয়ের সাথে কথা বলার পরামর্শ দেন। এরপর মহাসচিব সাহেব আখতার ভাইয়ের সাথে বিষয়টি নিয়ে কথা বলেন। আখতার ভাই এ ক্ষেত্রে তার নিজস্ব কিছু মতামত উপস্থাপন করেন, যার সবকিছু এখানে উল্লেখযোগ্য নয়। তবে তিনি মূলত দলগত অংশগ্রহণের বাস্তবতার কথা তুলে ধরে নারী নেতৃবৃন্দকে নিষেধ করতে নিজের অপারগতার কথাই প্রকাশ করেন। এ পর্যায়ে মহাসচিব সাহেব অত্যন্ত স্পষ্টভাবে বলেন, প্রয়োজনে একই ইস্যুতে নারীদের আলাদা কর্মসূচি পালন করা যেতে পারে। তিনি তার অবস্থানে অনড় থাকেন। পরবর্তীতে তার এই দৃঢ় অবস্থানের কারণেই আখতার ভাই নারী নেতৃবৃন্দকে মিছিল শুরু হওয়ার আগে সম্মুখ থেকে সরে যেতে বলেন। সমাবেশ চলাকালীন কিছু সময় (বাইতুল মোকাররমের সিঁড়িতে) তারা সামনে থাকলেও, মিছিল শুরু হওয়ার আগেই তারা সরে যান। এখানে একটি বাস্তবতা আমাদের স্বীকার করতেই হবে; ১১ দলীয় ঐক্য একটি বৃহৎ ঐক্যের প্ল্যাটফর্ম, যেখানে বিভিন্ন দল, ভিন্ন চিন্তা ও পদ্ধতির মানুষ একসাথে কাজ করছে। ফলে সবকিছু নিজের মতো করে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা সবসময় সম্ভব হয় না। তারপরও, শরয়ী মেজাজ পরিপন্থী কোনো বিষয়ে আপস করার প্রশ্নই আসে না। আলহামদুলিল্লাহ, আমাদের নেতৃবৃন্দ এ বিষয়ে সচেতন আছেন, সতর্ক আছেন এবং নিজেদের অবস্থান থেকে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থাও নিয়েছেন। সবশেষে একটি বিষয় পরিষ্কার করে বলতে চাই, আগামীতেও এনসিপি বা অন্য কোন শরীক দল যদি এধরনের গোঁয়ার্তুমি অব্যাহত রাখে, তাহলে আমাদের দায়িত্বশীলরাও যৌথ কর্মসূচি পালনের বিষয়ে বিকল্প চিন্তাভাবনা করবেন ইনশাআল্লাহ। Murshid Siddique সাধারণ সম্পাদক: বাংলাদেশ খেলাফত মজলিস, ঢাকা মহানগর উত্তর
