Arambai Tenggol WEAPON SURRENDER ANALYSIS. ❗️ Only 1.75 % of 6000 weapons looted surrendered yesterday‼️ Total 246 weapons were surrendered yesterday. BREAKDOWN :- 1). 110 weapons are SBBL/DBBL( Single barrel breach loader firearm). These are locally made firearms which were never part of Manipur police armoury. 2). 18 local made rifle. Made locally again not part of looted weapons form Manipur police armoury. 3). 5 locally made 9MM pistol. Not part of police armoury. 4). 7 locally made mortar/Pumpi guns. Not part of police armoury. 5). 1 Lathode Gun. Not part of police armoury. So 141 arms are not the ones looted from Police armoury but bought/sourced locally. EFFECTIVE SURRENDER is of 105 WEAPONS out of 6000 weapons looted form police armoury. Which is 1.75 % of looted police armoury which has been surrendered by Aramabi Tenggol. It’s a positive start but there is long way to go, many sophisticated weapons like INSAS LMG’s, AK-47, Insas, RPG’s, MGL are still out in large no’s. Heavy caliber weapons have been not surrendered. So intent is to lower the pressure of Government breakdown after 7 days of deadline. Still lot of scope with such weapons to create trouble in future .
