Johnson caving is crazy but also it's bananas to do that on voice vote after so many of his members publicly attacked the bill. A voice vote is effectively an assumption that nobody will object to passage and Members had literally no notice that they were doing that

I have lived in NY my whole life. So much so, I went to undergrad in Buffalo. When Buff had multiple feet of lake effect snow, those roads were plowed & salted hourly for days. We had ONE FOOT of snow 3 days ago. Roads still unplowed, unsalted, cars & sidewalks trapped in snow.

a simple way of describing the Harvard anti-semitism report is that there's a long tradition of anti-semitism among segments of the Left (as there is on the Right) but there used to be social opprobrium against people who expressed it. the social opprobrium has now weakened.
