Synchrony CC (Heat pump system financing) - 0.0% interest rate (for 60 months) - $26,609.00 outstanding balance - $443.48 monthly payment - $0.00 monthly interest Dave Ramsey thinks I should pay off these debts as soon as possible. But by investing that $53,000 in index funds, I can make over $5,000/yr, while only paying $42.00/month in carry costs. Should I listen to Dave Ramsey?

@BeatGreatFilter That is laughable. Sure if you draw the cybertruck all the way down to zero it will charge faster than the Silverado for 1 minute. Otherwise the Silverado charging curve completely wrecks the cyber truck. Any reasonable person picks the Silverado for a road trip.

The Tesla trip planner is absolutely garbage for the Cybertruck. I want to pull in at 5% or less and it keeps forcing stops at 15% that take significantly longer. So instead I have to manually put in chargers, not user friendly.

@BeatGreatFilter Silverado EV has longer range and faster charging. You're just not going to beat it on a road trip. I drive one every day. The range gives you so much more flexibility and options. The Tesla stan brain can't comprehend.

@BeatGreatFilter I drive EVs everyday. I was an early adopter of the model y. Efficiency is only one leg of this. Until you've ventured outside the Tesla ecosystem and realize there are much Superior vehicles with better range and charging curves that make traveling way easier you just don't see.

$LCID @LucidMotors I’m surprised by people celebrating deliveries of 3,953 vehicles. Is the number slightly better than the same quarter last year? Yes, possibly. But that doesn’t mean it is a good number. The performance was already weak before, and now it is still weak. Lucid delivered roughly a similar number in the same quarter of 2025. Back then, there was no Gravity. Now you have the Gravity SUV, which is expected to generate at least 4 to 5 times the volume of the Air sedan. In Q2 2025, Gravity was not in production. At this stage, deliveries should realistically be in the 12,000 to 14,000 range this quarter. I am not even demanding that level — I am only asking for a 100% increase over Q2 2025. Not 4x, just double. So don’t call this a good result or celebrate it. This is a disappointing number. Very disappointing

I’m very surprised to see many are upset with the price of the YL in the US. I think this is an unbelievable value. Although it is a smaller 3 row SUV compared to the competition for electric 3 rows, you are spending quite a bit more for those compared to YL.

Of course, this isn’t the whole story. The Maverick still makes more sense if you regularly tow heavy loads, need a back seat every day, or frequently take long road trips without reliable charging. But if your driving is mostly commuting, errands, home improvement projects, gardening, or light hauling, the Slate’s lower purchase price, cheaper energy, and reduced maintenance costs give it a surprisingly strong cost-of-ownership advantage. Lucid has announced that it is cutting 18% of its U.S. workforce as part of a cost-savings plan, and that their COO, Marc Winterhoff, is leaving the company effective immediately. “These are difficult decisions taken to align production with demand, reduce inventory, and adapt to declining market conditions. They are part of a broader effort to simplify the company, sharpen execution, and position Lucid to become more competitive over time.” - Lucid The company said the plan would give it annualized cost savings of $158 million.
