Accuracy matters, which is why your terms are completely wrong. Suicide is the tragic ending of a life that could have gone on. Medical assisted dying is a controlled, compassionate choice for someone whose death is already a certainty due to incurable illness. Using extreme loaded words like "murder" doesn't make your point, it just proves a complete lack of empathy for terminal patients.

"it's not a race" but publish a ranking of runners in competitive categories by time. "the categories aren't sex-based" but use "male" and "female".

No one polices the age category either and yet everyone seems able to self-police and provide their correct DOB. What is it about men who pretend they're women that makes you think they're dishonest?

The impact of the policy is asymmetrical, which is why it's unfair. It's nothing to do with "trans", per se, it's just unfair.

@natsrambles @mytinss @jamesdavis6939 Because men (regardless of how they id) are, on average, faster than women. That means a policy of self-id impacts women asymmetrically. That is unfair and, as a woman, I don't accept being treated unfairly on the basis of my sex.

Why are you so bothered if a mediocre trans woman beats a mediocre biological woman in a fun event?

Most of us have been taking part in Parkrun all that time and *love* Parkrun. We just want Parkrun to treat women with respect and fairness.
