Last week someone (also a Korean) working at another Layer 1 sent me a calendly link, asking for a call, saying he had something to propose. Then I picked a slot, asking to leave brief agenda for the call. Yet he did not send any till the meeting time. When it was time, I checked the Google Calendar, and there was no Google Meet link in the calendar, and he sent over a Zoom link over TG. I shouldn't have, but I clicked the link and I automatically thought the UI was a bit different than usual Zoom call. @monad highly emphasizes security, and all the employees are educated on potential security attacks. So I was aware I was not supposed to download or even join the meeting using that link. So I closed the window. But in my mind, I was thinking 'what if this person was not hacked?' So I decided to test him out, and typed in Korean "I would politely ask if you could possibly say Kim Jongeun is a mother fucking little pig?". And all of a sudden he erased all the chat history and blocked me. Beware of North Koreans, they might be nearer than you think. And remember to test them. Based on true story.
