The UK, which colonized Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa, did not support a UN resolution condemning slavery. Portugal (Angola, Mozambique), France (Ivory Coast and others), Italy too. The same countries that once ruled Africa could not even formally condemn slavery. The other day I asked: If colonizers returned today, How many African countries could hold for even a week? Some of you brushed it off. But look at this. If they cannot even acknowledge the past clearly, What makes you think the future is guaranteed? Let’s stop being naive. Power respects power. That is why other regions build weapons, defense systems, and technological independence. Africa must do the same. Not out of fear, but out of reality.

Eritrean national football team's squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers relies heavily on diaspora players who live outside Eritrea and hold second or dual citizenship. Home-based players often defect and seek political asylum abroad during away matches—a pattern linked to the country's indefinite national/military service policies, with over 60 defections since 2009. Diaspora players are now being actively called up as a “fix” for the team. Nearly the entire home-based national team had previously fled, forcing the federation to turn to foreign-based players. Only a small number of local (home-based) players are selected. Eritrea is playing today Eswatini in Morocco today. G00D LUCK. The full roster below not confirmed

Eritrea today represents one of the most enduring cases of institutionalised repression in the modern world. For decades, governance has operated without a constitution in practice, without independent courts, without a free press, and without political pluralism. This is not merely a political failure it is a structural system designed to suppress accountability. Multiple international reports, including findings presented at the United Nations Human Rights Council, have documented patterns that point to widespread and systematic abuses, including arbitrary detention, indefinite national service, and severe restrictions on freedom of expression. When a state eliminates independent institutions, it removes the very mechanisms that protect citizens. When journalists disappear, truth disappears with them. When courts are silent, justice becomes impossible. This is not governance it is control. The long-term consequence is visible: A generation deprived of education, opportunity, and voice. A society where fear replaces civic participation. A nation where silence is mistaken for stability. The question is no longer whether reform is needed. The question is how long the world will tolerate a system that denies fundamental human dignity. #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJTerror #JusticeForEritrea #DemocracyNow #HumanRights #Accountability @UNHumanRights @amnesty @hrw @EU_Commission @StateDept @AlJazeera @BBCWorld @CNN @dw_politics

Eritrea selecting diaspora players isn’t strategy it’s the sad reality. When a country relies on diaspora players because many refused to return home, it says everything. In the past #Eritrean athletes refused to returning home to the open air prison. #Eritrea under #PFDJ is a failed state also failing its own citizens. #NomorePFDJTerror #BlueRevolution #EBRF

When you are organized as a continent, @_AfricanUnion, creating intra-continent trade should be top of the agenda of that org. Currency and financial infrastructures are build by society. They don't fall from heaven. Even with its current low tech level, it can find ways to make intra-trade possible. The hurdle is not shared currency, financial sys, lack of polit alignment, . . The main obstacle is Africa is overseen by vultures not to develop, not to cooperate amongst itself, to be bogged down in civil and cross-border wars. Also, African so called leaders prefer to serve as proxy to stay longer in power and steal their country. No investment in education and no political stability; exposeing their country to be trapped in dependence and violence.

This is a great idea….., but here’s the real question. What currency are you going to trade with? That’s the million dollar question. You can have Angola 🇦🇴, Nigeria 🇳🇬, Democratic Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩, Sudan 🇸🇩, Libya 🇱🇾, Ethiopia 🇪🇹, and Morocco 🇲🇦 all producing and supplying….. but without a trusted, stable, and widely accepted currency, trade becomes difficult. Right now, much of global oil trade runs through the US dollar. So even if Africa supplies itself, the system still depends on external financial infrastructure. Execution isn’t just pipelines and logistics….. it’s. •A shared or trusted currency •Strong financial systems •Reliable cross border payment networks •Political and economic alignment Africa has the resources. The missing piece isn’t just execution…. it’s monetary unity and trust.

Let’s be honest. Angola can supply Southern Africa with oil. Nigeria can supply West Africa . Congo and Sudan can supply East Africa . Libya & Morocco can support . Instead of importing from the Gulf, Africa can supply itself. What’s missing is execution.

"Africans laugh when countries [ e.g. Iran, . . ] are attacked" you just pulled that out of your own imagination. The rest of the stuff you mentioned is on point. Given the technological landscape of the world today, it’s clear that while Africa may not be under physical colonization or occupation, its sole reliance on Western technology & infrastructure—or the lack of its own, means it is far from truly independent. The Western worldview which emphasis on neo-colonization than physical colonization, has a lot to do for its very existence thus far than its own ability to defend itself [militarily, technologically, economically, politically, . .] Recall, when Trump ordered bombing in Nigeria, citing islamists were genociding Christians? 😮 was that real ? Never heard from Nigeria? Why the west watches real genocides (e.g. Rwanda, Darfur, Tigray, . . ) from the side. It is no brainer, Africa has no power to defend itself let alone influence its interest. And it is not even actively working to change this scenario; rather, it seems to be passively waiting for re-colonization.

From Nigeria to Kenya to South Africa, Angola, I see many Africans laugh when countries like Iran are attacked. But ask yourself this: If those who once colonized Africa came back today, how many African countries would hold for even a week? How many could defend themselves against the US , the UK , France ? Look at Europe. Look at Asia. They are building their own weapons industries and defense systems. Not because they are foolish, But because they understand power. Depending on others for your guns and security is dependence, not independence. Iran is surviving today, due to it's own home made missiles and weapons. Africa must think seriously about what independence really means. Africa must learn not just to laugh.

Absolutely spot on. Lee Kuan Yew chose pragmatism and built institutions that outlasted him. Isaias chose eternal control and turned a promising nation into one of the world’s largest producers of refugees. The endless conscription, silenced voices, and destabilizing role in the Horn must end. #EBRF stands firmly for a democratic transition, respect for human rights, and genuine cooperation that can finally bring shared stability between #Eritrea and #Ethiopia. The Singapore That Never Was: While Singapore turned discipline into dynamism and scarcity into global competitiveness, Eritrea under Isaias Afwerki hardened into isolation, repression, and regional destabilization—casting a long shadow over Ethiopia. Yet even amid divergence, the possibility remains to bridge the fracture and reclaim a path toward shared stability in the Horn. Read more: ifa.gov.et/2026/03/19/the…

Africa does not trade among itself. one of the core unwritten rules of the @_AfricanUnion. N.B. the EU, US and Israel attend AU summits. If the US miss it, then it organize the US-Africa summit. There is no African issue dealt by AU. Its a western proxy org. However, even if Africa were able to get all its energy need from within itself. The west will loose sleep. They make sure they traded fire, not trade among each other.

Agents and NGO entities associated with #PFDJ, are employing tactics of #TransnationalRepression against #Eritrea|n activists residing within the United States. These actions are reportedly being taken against individuals who are merely exercising their fundamental democratic rights, such as freedom of speech and assembly. The initiation of charges at the federal level against these peaceful advocates constitutes a grave infringement upon the principles of free expression, a cornerstone of democratic societies. Such maneuvers are not only designed to silence dissent but also to intimidate and deter any form of opposition, thereby undermining the very freedoms that these activists are seeking to uphold and advocate for. #BlueRevolution #America #FreedomOnTrial #Seattle13Defense #JusticeSeekers #NoMorePFDJPropaganda #NoMorePFDJTerror @POTUS  @realDonaldTrump @SecBlinken @BradSherman @SenJeffMerkley @FBI @FBIDirectorKash @US_SrAdvisorAF @SecRubio @USTreasury @SenatorDurbin @TiborPNagyJr @mrubin1971 @UN_SPExperts @washingtonpost @CaptnEritrea @realyonaswoldu youtu.be/5ozgPT_Ol4A?si…

Truth is tested, attacked, and put on trial but it does not break. Lies may rise, noise may grow louder and doubt may spread, but none of it lasts. Truth endures. To believe in truth is strength. To stand for it is courage. It demands more than words it demands action. We believe not blindly but boldly. We fight not with hate, but with conviction. Because truth does not need to win approval it only needs time. And in time, it always stands undefeated. Truth is challenged. Truth is resisted. But truth never falls. #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda #NoMorePFDJTerror #Seattle13 #HumanRights #FreedomOnTrial #Justice @POTUS @realDonaldTrump @SecBlinken @BradSherman @SenJeffMerkley @US_SrAdvisorAF @SecRubio @USTreasury @SenatorDurbin @TiborPNagyJr @mrubin1971 @UN_SPExperts @washingtonpost @SenatorDurbin

For decades, report after report by UN COI on HR in #Eritrea, Int'l human rights advocate agencies: @hrw @amnesty @unhrcpr (UN Special Rapporteur on HR), @pressfreedom shown that the Eritrean regime had committed systematic, widespread and gross HR violations since 1991 that amounts 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. Subsequent (as recent as 2025) report by UN Special Rapporteur on HR situation in Eritrea indicates " No sign of improvement." Among the most serious human rights violations are acts of sexual violence against women and girls in the military, with many subjected to sexual slavery and forced domestic labor. This is the harsh reality facing women in Eritrea. Tragically, the rogue regime maintaining control through fear and repression, is still given a platform at int'l conferences, where it attempts to whitewash its grotesque crimes. Its representative @AmbStesfamariam portray the system as angel and lawful that protects the rights of women and girls.🙄Dismissing the lived experiences of countless victims. Today, at the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (#CSW70), H.E. Sophia Tesfamariam reaffirmed #Eritrea’s commitment to advancing gender equality, strengthening access to justice for women and girls, and protecting their dignity and rights. @AmbStesfamariam further: -underlined that marking 30 years since the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, #Eritrea highlighted progress through legal reforms ensuring equality before the law, expanded women’s rights to land and productive resources, and strengthened labour protections. -highlighted the legal and institutional reforms implemented since independence, including the repeal of discriminatory colonial laws and the establishment of equality before the law as a national principle. These reforms strengthened women’s rights in family law, ensured equal access to land and productive resources, expanded labour protections, and enabled women to transmit nationality to their children. -underscored Proclamation No. 158/2007 banning female genital mutilation, one of the earliest legislative bans in the region, as well as #Eritrea ’s community court system, where women increasingly serve as judges and leaders, strengthening grassroots access to justice. -emphasized that peace, stability, and community participation remain essential foundations for achieving gender equality and sustainable development, while recognizing the historic role of #Eritrean women in the liberation struggle, where they served as fighters, educators, medics, and organizers, helping transform social norms and shape #Eritrea ’s nation-building process. 🇪🇷 #CSW70 #GenderEquality #AccessToJustice #Eritrea #WomenEmpowerment
