On the Passing of Captain Arjun Naidu The aviation fraternity grieves the loss of Captain Arjun Naidu of Akasa Air, who passed away whist on a training duty assignment on 30th April at Bengaluru. The son of a former officer of the Indian Air Force, he came from a tradition of service—one marked by honor, discipline, and quiet resolve. He carried that same spirit into the cockpit. Behind every uniform is a name, a life of commitment, and a story that deserves to be spoken. In moments of loss, remembrance is more than courtesy—it is respect. May Captain Arjun Naidu be remembered with the dignity his life and service earned. Clear skies and tailwinds.

Unlike India requiring robust domestic connectivity, for the size of these nation, they have ZERO domestic network. 🔸@lufthansa too flies into Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai and feed it’s network. @British_Airways does a similar thing, while @RiyadhAir is in nascent stage. 🔸Gulf carriers enjoy the best geographical location for global reach, unlike Singapore. Cheap ATF is an added strategic advantage for Gulf. 🔸India too is best placed for “Hub & Spoke Strategy”. This marks the completion of FIRST nose-to-tail cabin refresh of 26 legacy B787-8 and 13 legacy B777ER retrofit programme. 🔸Air India’s emphasis now shifts toward delivering a consistent product across the fleet as true transformation in aviation isn’t defined by introduction, but by “consistency”. 🔸Introduction of onboard WiFi in the B787-8 retrofit is a “welcome” value addition from its 27 legacy Airbus A320 retrofit programme. WiFi offers “Production Differentiation”. 🔸 With 1.4 billion population wanting connectivity at every stage, onboard WiFi can do wonders. Presently, Vistara A321 has onboard WiFi.
