Have you ever been a Ward Mission Leader or seen what your Ward Mission Leader has done? What are some things that you find beneficial for this? I have learned I am not only the second counselor for Elders Quorum Presidency, I am also filling the role as Ward Mission Leader. Seeking help and guidance on this one! 🫶🙏🦾

I sat through the most unconventional Elders Quorum meeting of my life today. It was AWESOME! Today was the first EQ meeting of our brand new ward in Tennessee. We met in the high council room, sitting face-to-face in a circle around the large conference table. No way you were gonna zone out on your phone there! To start the meeting, we stood and sang "Rise up, O Men of God." That alone was powerful. Many of us hadn't sung a men’s hymn like that since the last General Conference Priesthood session. Then we were invited to huddle shoulder to shoulder-- like a football team-- to bow our heads and pray specifically for one another and the brotherhood we were forming. We went around the room and each brother shared a bit about himself, including one way he saw the Lord's hand during the past week, and one way he planned to sacrifice for his God and his family during the upcoming week. The atmosphere loosened quickly. Testimonies grew personal as men discussed trials, admitted to slipping in their scripture study, and shared miraculous ways God showed up in their lives. Then the EQ Presidency member leading the meeting shared the "lesson." He choked up a bit and couldn't explain why. That's okay. 😉 He told us every meeting would follow this format: join in a mighty song of Zion, prayer shoulder to shoulder, and "speak one with another concerning the welfare of our souls." And every member should feel free to ask for a priesthood blessing from his brothers in the quorum. One good brother raised his hand and asked for a blessing for the circumstances going on in his life. When volunteers were asked to form the circle, many hands went up-- even brothers who didn't know him. There were snacks, too. Chips, candy bars, even protein bars for the gym bros. Then another football huddle closing prayer. Our first quorum activity is already scheduled. We're meeting at a brother's house to grill chicken. Each member is bringing a side and his favorite rub or marinade (drop your best recipe in the comments). I listened to the quorum members talking in the hallway after the meeting. The consensus: "That was the best quorum meeting I've ever had. For the first time in my adult life, I'm actually excited about Elders Quorum!" I've heard of wards who've done this format from @LeadingSaints, @CwicShow, and others, but I'd never actually seen it before. It was really cool to be a part of. I'm pumped to see where this will lead for our brand new Elders Quorum brotherhood! PS: the EQ Presidency member who ran this first meeting is here on X, too. @ShaunTagatauli. Give him a follow. He's good people.

@grok In another conversation I asked you this: Nathan Apffel claims that the Church wants to build a 133,000 acre city. Is that true? Searching the web 36 results No, Nathan Apffel's claim is not accurate. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (through Farmland Reserve, Inc.) is not planning to "build a 133,000-acre city." Clarify for me what the answer is.

Absolute insanity. An expert filmmaker exposes how the Mormon Church is hoarding a staggering 350 billion dollars and buying up massive amounts of American land while still demanding money from its followers. The religious corporate greed is terrifying.

BREAKING 🚨‼️ Brigham Young University KEEPS COMING UP in Candace’s investigation. This is a lead that MUST BE PURSUED. ALSO high-profile Mormons keep coming up as Candace investigates and targets Utah residents. BYU? High profile Mormon families? Utah? These things are connected by one thing and one thing only—guilt. This is clearly suspicious, and there is no possible non-suspicious explanation for it. Stay tuned.

I am now seriously inquiring Catholicism, Orthodoxy, or High-Church Protestantism after this whole fiasco. Modern evangelicalism is compromised & detached from apostolic faith, swapped for subjective feel-good fluff instead of Scripture-rooted truth & historic Church tradition.

Someone shared this video with me: youtu.be/Kuotn0Z9QS8 Our lessons are now based off of the needs of anonymous surveys from the Elders, Elders sit in circles to discuss issues, and teachers are prepared with discussion questions for each group. Is still working in progress.

How do you offer a lesson in elders quorum / relief society without coming across as preachy? What works for you? Whenever I give a lesson (which has been only twice before) I always feel like the group is annoyed and disconnected. What strategies work for you to have an engaged meeting that bears fruit from the discussion?

Here was my response from @ChuckGrassley January 20, 2026 Dear Joseph: Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. As your senator, it is important that I hear from you. I appreciate hearing your support for S.128, the SAVE Act. This legislation was introduced by Senator Lee and has been introduced to the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration. If enacted, it would require individuals to provide a proof of citizenship to register and vote in federal elections. Proofs of citizenship include: US passport, birth certificate, military identification card that shows place of birth, or any government issued photo-identification showing place of birth. A driver’s license or social security card would not be considered under this legislation. It also requires individuals to register to vote in person to a verified election official unless they are disabled. I agree with you that it is important to make sure that our country's elections occur without fraud. I support requiring voter identification because I believe that every fraudulent vote dilutes the votes of legitimate voters. However, Article I and II of the U.S. Constitution leaves states the primary responsibility for creating and enacting election laws. As a result, state laws vary in what identification they require from voters on Election Day beyond the minimum federal requirement. In fact, Iowa has a strong voter identification requirement. I am confident that Iowa's election process ensures both integrity and accuracy. I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind should this legislation come to the Senate floor for a vote. I encourage you to contact Paul Pate, Iowa’s Secretary of State. As the chief election officer of the state, the Secretary of State of Iowa is able to answer questions regarding current voting processes in Iowa and is responsible for the application, operation, and implementation of election law, except for those pertaining to campaign finance. He can be contacted by writing to Paul Pate, Iowa Secretary of State, Iowa Statehouse, Des Moines, IA 50319. I have also heard from several Iowans regarding the voting privileges of illegal immigrants. Only United States citizens can legally vote in federal elections. Non-citizens voting in federal elections are subject to fines, imprisonment, and or deportation. However, a state or locality can grant non-citizens voting privileges in state or local elections. Currently, no states allow non-citizens to vote in a state election, while only some localities have afforded the right to vote to non-citizens in local elections. In March of 2025, President Trump signed an executive order giving the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services' needed upgrades to this program so that all states can utilize the program to avoid any noncitizen from voting in a federal election. Under the order, states have access to the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements SAVE Program, an online services for federal, state and local governments to verify the immigration status and citizenship status of applicants seeking specific benefits or licenses. On December 8, 2025, I took to the Senate floor to praise President Trump and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for making improvements to their voter verification system and giving states access to this program. You can view my speech by going to grassley.senate.gov/news/remarks/g…. I understand that many Americans have concerns about our nation's election integrity. As your senator, you can rest assured that I will continue to work in the Senate to improve election integrity and will keep your thoughts in mind going forward. Thank you again for contacting me, and I encourage you to keep in touch. Sincerely, Chuck Grassley United States Senator

John Thune out here acting like he can’t hear a single thing his own voters are shouting about. Talking circles around every issue on earth except the filibuster and the SAVE Act, the one thing his voters care about. It’s wild. The arrogance is crazy. The silence is straight disrespect. He really walks around like he’s untouchable, like we didn’t put him in that seat, like he doesn’t owe anyone an explanation. No press conference. No statement. Nothing. Just pretending the whole situation doesn’t exist. Nah, we’re not letting that slide. Not after everything that’s happened. Keep playing deaf @LeaderJohnThune MAGA won't forget.
