Transparency is the only path to truth. For years, I have fought to declassify and release UAP files, including by successfully passing legislation requiring government disclosure of UAP records. I am encouraged that the administration has finally heard my call and the call of millions of Americans to begin unsealing these files. This is another important step, but there is much more work to do. I will continue to fight to ensure the administration finally meets its legal obligation to the American people.

The UAP documents should have been released a long time ago. Thank you to every witness who came forward to testify before our committee, as well as the countless researchers who worked alongside us to push for transparency. A special thank you to @RepTimBurchett, @RepMoskowitz, and @RepEricBurlison for helping lead the charge on this issue. And none of this would have started without @mattgaetz bringing us to Eglin to hear directly from UAP whistleblowers.

This is a great first step. Additional releases are expected in the coming weeks. A second tranche of documents, including additional requested video footage, is anticipated within approximately 30 days. Further records, videos, imagery, and investigative materials will continue to be released on a rolling basis.

I commend President Trump for continuing to push UAP transparency and release additional files to the public. He is the only president willing to stand up to the deep state and push this information out to the American people. Trump has been the disclosure president! After years of classified briefings, whistleblower interviews, and oversight work, I am grateful to see this historic first in a series of releases the public deserves to see. I look forward to working with President Trump and his administration as we continue this important work for the people.
