Totally respect that. Especially with “kids” plural! (I only have one). I am sure it’s much harder for single parents, and I definitely agree the cost of food is outlandish these days. It’s sad seeing people rely on DoorDash though - even if they don’t have much time, I think there are better options than paying $45 to have a pizza delivered.

@WillWright99 @BuzzPatterson @chefsevenn I have no doubt you do. This is not a competition. I run, manage a large city in California, shuffle kids to and from baseball practice, and make pizza from scratch. I’m speaking from empathy. Not everyone can do what we do.

There is no such thing as “the luxury of time.” I work 50-60 hours a week, serve in volunteer leadership roles with several large organizations, am the parent of a toddler, and also run ultramarathons all over the world. You make time for the things that matter. If you don’t have the time to spend 15 minutes cooking a simple recipe with your child, that’s entirely on you.
