As per the stated process, inspections, scrutiny, and site visits post-2019 reportedly require photographs and videos to be uploaded and maintained as official records. However, not only do these records appear unavailable on the system, but information sought through RTI also appears to be facing prolonged delays or remaining unavailable altogether. When records that should ordinarily exist cannot be accessed and responses continue getting delayed, citizens naturally begin questioning the reasons behind such reluctance and whether important information is being kept away from public scrutiny. Continued silence only strengthens the perception that serious issues are being pushed under the carpet instead of being transparently addressed. Most disappointing is the apparent lack of progress even on communications from the Mayor’s office. Repeated follow-ups seem to move from one desk to another, ultimately ending at the CFO’s office or an email ID such as DCE02WS.BP@MCGM.GOV.IN, which, from a citizen's perspective, increasingly feels like a black hole with no visible response or action despite repeated representations.
