CO is heading into wildfire season during a historic drought. But emergency responders are missing training because DHS isn’t fully funded. I’ve fought wildfires as a Blackhawk pilot, I know that preparedness saves lives — and right now, that preparedness is being undermined.

Today, 206 Democrats voted against the Pay Our Homeland Defenders Act — legislation that would fully fund the salaries of TSA agents and other frontline personnel who have now gone 41 days without a paycheck. For nearly two months, TSA officers and federal law enforcement have continued to show up every day — protecting our airports, securing our borders, and keeping American families safe — all while Washington delays their pay. This bill would have ended that. Instead, 206 Democrats chose to vote no — prolonging a shutdown that weakens public safety, strains morale, and puts additional pressure on the very people we rely on to protect the homeland. At a time of rising threats and ongoing challenges at our border, the priority should be clear: support the men and women on the frontlines and ensure they have the resources they need to do their jobs. Republicans voted to pay our homeland defenders. 206 Democrats voted against it. Reopen DHS. Pay our frontline security personnel. 🇺🇸

I was grateful to meet with a CO veteran & Healing Breakthrough to discuss the urgent need to address veteran suicide and PTSD. As a combat veteran, I understand how crucial it is for us to help our men and women in uniform, who have devoted years of their lives to our nation. A man convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old child was released on bail before sentencing under Colorado Democrats’ soft-on-crime system. This is horrific and unacceptable. Violent criminals like this have no place in our communities — they put everyone at risk, especially law-abiding immigrant families who are here to work hard and build a better life. There is a clear difference between those who contribute to our communities and those who prey on them. When policies fail to hold dangerous offenders accountable, it’s those very communities that suffer most. Colorado families deserve safety, accountability, and justice.

1 year ago @denversmayor admitted they don’t track the immigration status of homicide suspects. Refusing to ask. Refusing to know. Refusing to cooperate. Instead of working with ICE and federal law enforcement, city leaders continue protecting offenders over Coloradans.

I visited Amazon’s DEN3 fulfillment center, one of the company’s largest investments in CO, which employs more than 3,000 associates serving customers across the state. It was great learning more about how DEN3 supports jobs, logistics, and innovation in CO’s growing economy.
