The government shows itโ€™s not serious about carbon reduction at all when it cancelled inland rail. Nope. All they care about is votes. If the climate scam was electorally unpopular the renewables policy would be scrapped overnight.

@empathyenergy @1000Frolly Nonsense. No reduction in rate of growth of atmospheric CO2 observed. In fact, atm CO2 growth rate accelerated by 7% during the 2020 Covid emissions reduction which should have slowed rate of growth by 44% thus proving net zero ambitions are nonsense. x.com/AlaMerQld/statโ€ฆ

Should have driven a 44% drop in atmCO2 growth rate based on avg 2017-2019 sequestration of aCO2 emissions BUT atmCO2 grew by record 7% to prove NET-ZERO OBJECTIVE PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE

@1000Frolly Grid data proves renewables slash CO2 despite manufacturing footprints. Your 'contained emissions' argument invents physics. Baotou's pollution is a supply chain issue, not climate policy.

As I said; Windfarms (and solar panels) don't reduce global CO2 emissions by a single gram. If you don't even know this then you should not be here spouting your ignorant opinion about something you know absolutely nothing about. I bet you've never even heard of "contained emissions"!!! The radioactive and toxic pollution from the manufacture of windmills and solar panels is truly astronomical, measured in millions of tonnes; evidence is below. Orders of magnitude worse than any relatively small amount of waste products from nuclear power generation. Again, if you don't even know this - see above. As for our farmers, well first Labor and the Greens smash their lives and livelihoods, and then offer them a few scraps so that they can survive; as long as they give up their land and homes for Labor and the Greenies to destroy as they like. No wonder the support for both Labor and the Greens has crashed and One Nation has sky-rocketed from 3% to 40% in the country. Lying Labor hasn't a chance in the next election.

The Inland Rail is nation-building infrastructure. Not only has it been creating jobs in the regions, it was designed to be a 1,600km corridor of commerce connecting Melbourne & Brisbane within 24 hours. Now Labor is cutting the project. Read more: michaelmccormack.com.au/labor-to-slashโ€ฆ

โ€œPlans to proceed with the northern half of the controversial Inland Rail project have been scrapped. First unveiled by the former Coalition government more than a decade ago as a transformational project to link Melbourne and Brisbane via regional NSW, the 1600km freight corridor was originally slated for completion by 2027. However, years of political infighting, poor initial scoping and planning, continued cost blowouts and repeated delays have plagued the project, with a fresh cost estimate finding the full build would exceed $45bn - more than four times the original budget - and would not be finished until at least 2036. Only 27 per cent, or 436km, of the freight corridor has been completed, which includes the section from Stockinbingal in the Riverina to Narromine near Dubbo, via Parkes.โ€ โ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ข As someone who sat on the RTAT Senate Inquiry into the Inland Rail it saddens me to see this. It is more evidence of why we need an Infrastructure Bank, a Military Apprenticeship scheme, an expanded Military Engineering Corp and a Federation convention to streamline the role and responsibility of State and Federal Governments. These are all policies of Peoplefirstparty.au who are is the only party that wants to tackle the underlying structural imbalances of our economy. This imbalances include State-Federal relations, environmental red tape, a shortage of skills and a lack of funding. China is leaving us for dead when it comes to Infrastructure building and quite frankly our inability to get anything built in this country makes us a laughing stock.

Labor cutting the Melbourne to Brisbane inland rail off at Parkes is so shortsighted. Parkes is nice but who would spend billions building a Melbourne to Parkes freight line? Just when we need to move freight from road to rail they do this. No vision.

โ€œBy derailing the Inland Rail, the Government is ending a nationally significant, productivity enhancing project which would have taken 200,000 trucks movements off the road and slashed freight sector carbon emissions by 750,000 tonnes per year by 2050. Short- sighted and a concession of failure.โ€ #auspol

There could not be a worse time to pull back investment on our supply chains, abandoning a vision for one of Australiaโ€™s largest infrastructure projects. The inland rail project was vital in helping drive productivity and taking pressure off the highways. It was designed to improve our supply chains and reduce the cost and time getting produce from farm to tables โ€“ a win for farmers and consumers alike. It is important the Government prioritises the consolidated project and gets trains on tracks so all Australians can benefit. pulse.auctionsplus.com.au/news/cut-to-raโ€ฆ
