Happy Birthday to His Excellency Simon Ekpa
A true Biafran hero and living legend; a devoted disciple of H.E. Nnamdi Kanu; a loyal servant of over 50 million Biafrans; an ambassador of peace; and the Prime Minister of the United States of Biafra.
With the United States of Biafra government, and through the mandate of Biafran citizens, you have stood firm and resolute, challenging and exposing the Nigerian regime with courage and determination. Despite the sustained war waged against Biafrans and our nation by the Nigerian remine, corrupt elements within Finland, and other neo-colonial actors, you have remained unshaken, consistently placing the United States of Biafra above all else.
Your resilience has brought global attention to injustice, exposed hypocrisy and corruption, and contributed to the restoration of Biafra’s interrupted sovereignty on November 29, 2024. Today, Biafra stands once again on the world map; strong, visible, and unwavering.
As we continue the pursuit of ending Nigeria’s illegal military occupation of our land, the United States of Biafra Government extends to you our warmest wishes: long life, good health, and many more years of strength and leadership.
We remain confident that every evil plot against you by the Nigerian regime and certain corrupt elements within the authorities of Finland has been dismantled, and that brighter days lie ahead. Your next birthday will be celebrated in freedom, dignity, and joy.
We are certain that great African patriots such as Nelson Mandela, Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Kenneth Kaunda, Julius Nyerere, Kwame Nkrumah, Amílcar Cabral, Samora Machel, Steve Biko, and many other heroes of our continent, would be proud of your courage in inspiring Africans, especially Biafrans, to rise against neo-colonialism and strive toward true freedom and happiness.
Happy Birthday once again, Your Excellency Simon Ekpa.
You are deeply loved and profoundly appreciated.

The Right People, The Right Time: A Path to True Freedom
Those familiar with diplomacy and international relations understand that what is presented in videos and photographs rarely reflects the substance of closed-door discussions.
We are fully aware of the role Britain has played, and continues to play, in the Biafran genocide. Likewise, we recognize Finland’s role in the ongoing, contemporary dimensions of that same tragedy, all under the framework of the British-engineered entity known as Nigeria.
Yesterday it was the Finnish President; today it is Nigeria’s so-called President. Can anyone seriously doubt that Biafran resources are part of these discussions?
The real question is this: will the outcome of these meetings lead to further suffering and the destruction of more Biafran lives?
All we need are principled people in the right positions to put an end to injustice and ensure that the people of Biafra are finally free from the demons who exploit and oppress them.

Public Statement
On the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union: Historical Justice, Decolonization, and the Urgent Recognition of the United States of Biafra
The Government of the United States of Biafra commends the African Union for its historic deliberations at its 39th Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, particularly its consideration of colonization as a crime against humanity and certain acts of slavery, deportation, and colonization as acts of genocide against the peoples of Africa.
The Assembly’s emphasis on historical justice, truth, remembrance, reparatory justice, and the preservation of African dignity speaks directly to the continuing situation in the United States of Biafra.
Despite the declaration of the restoration of Biafra’s independence in Lahti, Finland on 29 November 2024, Nigeria continues to maintain an illegal and hostile military occupation of Biafran territory. This constitutes a denial of the right to self-determination as enshrined in Article 1(2) of the UN Charter and Articles 19 and 20 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
The colonial amalgamation that created Nigeria was never subjected to the freely expressed will of the Biafran people. The Nigerian Independence Act (1960) and Republican Constitution (1963) did not dismantle those colonial foundations but transferred them into a post-colonial structure that has continued to suppress distinct peoples.
The unresolved Biafran genocide and ongoing repression underscore the urgency of the matter. If colonization and its consequences are condemned in principle, they must also be addressed where they persist in practice.
The United States of Biafra respectfully calls on the African Union to engage with its representatives, initiate an impartial fact-finding process, and urgently consider recognition in line with the principles of decolonization and self-determination.
Official communication from the United States of Biafra Permanent Mission to the International Community will be transmitted to the African Union shortly.
We thank the Assembly for its bold stand on historical justice and urge that these principles be applied consistently and without delay.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Unbreakable Bonds of Liberation: The United States of Biafra and Zambia in Diplomatic Solidarity
The United States of Biafra is pleased to formally announce a significant step toward the establishment of the United States of Biafra Permanent Mission to the International Community – African Headquarters in Zambia.
This historic development represents a significant diplomatic milestone, complementing our existing headquarters in Washington, D.C., and expanding our structured engagement with Africa and the broader international community.
We extend our profound appreciation to the United States of Biafra Mission Representative in Zambia, Hon. Bishop Nwaizu, for his steadfast commitment, dedication, and service toward the realization of a free and liberated Biafra.
We also sincerely thank the Government and people of Zambia for ensuring that Biafrans residing within their borders remain safe and respected. Zambia’s distinguished legacy in Africa’s liberation history makes this development deeply meaningful. Notably, the headquarters of South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) operated from Zambia during Namibia’s struggle for independence, reflecting Zambia’s enduring role as a sanctuary for freedom movements.
Historically, Zambia was among the nations that recognized Biafra’s sovereignty during the genocidal war, when Nigeria invaded Biafran territory and massacred millions of Biafrans, under the principled leadership of Kenneth Kaunda. Zambia has consistently stood on the side of African dignity, decolonization, and resistance to oppression. Our leaders continue to draw inspiration from Africa’s liberation statesmen, including President Kaunda, Julius Nyerere, and other courageous voices of African self-determination.
The United States of Biafra and Zambia share a bond rooted in history, justice, and the pursuit of freedom; a bond that cannot be broken.
From our African Headquarters in Zambia, we look forward to constructive engagement with African nations, institutions and the international community to ensure that Biafra’s dignity, rights, and territorial integrity are protected, while contributing meaningfully to peace, stability, and cooperation across Africa and the world.

BREAKING: Press Release – February 24, 2026
United States of Biafra USB Nation at the Hague Netherlands (see video)
Today marks a defining moment in the peaceful and lawful restoration process of our nation.
In The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands, the United States of Biafra Head of Mission in the Netherlands, Hon. Benjamin Jideofor Marchie, accompanied by the Deputy Director, Department of Religious Freedom & Monitoring, Apostle Dr. Steve Ajubi, formally submitted a series of sovereign instruments ascending to the framework of the Hague Convention on the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes.
This historic step represents the United States of Biafra’s unwavering commitment to the peaceful settlement of disputes under international law. By formally ascending to the Hague Convention on Pacific Settlement, the USB has demonstrated before the international community its preference for lawful arbitration, judicial engagement, and diplomatic resolution over conflict.
Among the key documents submitted were:
The United States of Biafra’s official ascension to the Hague Convention on Pacific Settlement.
Notice of Sovereign Refusal and Declaration of Legal Non-Existence – formally terminating jurisdictional claims and refusing imposed “Nigerian” nationality as a legal fiction, in line with UN Decolonization Mandate Resolution A/RES/80/106.
Memorandum on Sovereign Nationality and Protection of Biafran Nationals – affirming Biafran nationality and prohibiting arbitrary refoulement to Nigeria.
Sovereign Summary: The Biafran Restoration as a Fulfillment of UN Resolution A/RES/80/106 – reaffirming the USB’s adherence to the global decolonization mandate.
Living Document: The Doctrine of Collective Coherence – Proclamation of Continuum – harmonizing the global mandate and dissolving ambiguity of recognition.
Fruit of the Poisonous Tree Doctrine – grounded in the principle of Ex injuria jus non oritur (law does not arise from injustice).
These submissions collectively establish a clear legal and moral position: that the restoration of the United States of Biafra is anchored in international law, decolonization principles, and the peaceful settlement of disputes.
This step is of profound importance. It signals to the world that the United States of Biafra is engaging the international legal order responsibly, transparently, and peacefully. It strengthens our diplomatic posture, protects our nationals, and reinforces our lawful claim to sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Similar steps will continue to be taken through appropriate international mechanisms to ensure the protection of the United States of Biafra’s territorial integrity and to bring an end to Nigeria’s illegal military occupation of our nation.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Governments come and go, but organic nations endure.
The nation and people of Norway are admirable, and I have no comment regarding the current Norwegian government unless given a reason to do so. The same respect extends to the nation and people of Finland.
However, the current Finnish Government’s posture; particularly in its support for a regime widely known for grave human rights violations; raises serious concerns. It is deeply troubling when governments in the free world align themselves in ways that risk criminalising individuals and movements that assert they are resisting genocide and systemic extermination. Such actions, in my view, undermine the moral authority that democratic nations are expected to uphold.
If statesmen of the stature of Martti Ahtisaari were leading Finland today, I firmly believe the situation would be approached with greater neutrality, fairness, and commitment to dialogue. Under such leadership, H.E. Simon Ekpa would not be detained under circumstances that many view as politically influenced. Instead, there would likely be meaningful engagement toward resolving the long-standing conflict surrounding Nigeria’s illegal military occupation of our homeland, Biafra.
As volunteers serving the people of Biafra, we remain committed to ensuring that the innocent lives lost do not fade into silence. Our work is driven by the conviction that justice must prevail, and that all Biafran prisoners; whether detained in Nigeria, Finland, or elsewhere; deserve due process, fairness, and freedom where unlawfully held.
In conclusion, I must reiterate a fundamental principle: no state has the moral authority to deny the identity of a people. A nation of fewer than eight million people cannot simply dismiss the identity and nationality claimed by over eighty million Biafrans.
While the recognition of the United States of Biafra (successor to the Republic of Biafra), remains a sovereign decision for each state, no authority should invalidate an individual’s inherent national identity; especially when that identity is grounded in documented history, legal reasoning, and verifiable evidence.
It is worth recalling that nations including Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Tanzania, Zambia, and Haiti exercised their sovereign prerogative to recognize Biafra as an independent state without awaiting the consent of others.
I am not Nigerian; I am Biafran. In expressing this, I echo the voices of millions who seek recognition of their identity and nationality and reject the imposition of a colonial construct upon their people. I am a man of proud ancestry. Some of my ancestors chose death over enslavement rather than be shipped overseas in chains. Their courage flows in my veins, and in the veins of millions of Biafrans across the world.
Ex iniuria ius non oritur: law does not arise from injustice:
In the case of Biafra, no state can lawfully acquire sovereignty over a people through genocide, military force, or coercion. Rights cannot be extinguished by violence, nor can legitimacy be established through oppression.
Article 15 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
- Everyone has the right to a nationality.
- No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.

WE DECLARED A NATION - A MANDATE OF MILLIONS
What we achieved in 2024 represents a level of unity that most nations can only aspire to.
We recorded over 50 million votes in the self-referendum. We gathered 1,500+ Biafrans in Finland for the declaration. We affirmed that mandate with 517 delegates from the 40 United States of Biafra signing the Declaration. That is mass participation combined with organized, representative authority.
By comparison, many widely recognized states began with far smaller formal numbers:
Finland (1917): independence approved by parliament 100–88.
Israel (1948): declaration signed by 37 members of the People’s Council.
United States of America (1776): the Declaration signed by 56 delegates.
So we hold our heads high: we did not whisper history; we spoke it with millions and sealed it with delegates.
And we do not stand outside international principles when we insist on our future. International law repeatedly affirms self-determination: the UN Charter establishes it as a core purpose; the International Covenants on Human Rights affirm that all peoples may determine their political status; UN General Assembly Resolutions 1514 and 2625 reinforce it as a governing principle; the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights recognizes peoples’ right to existence and self-determination; and the ICJ Kosovo advisory opinion confirms that a declaration of independence is not, by itself, prohibited under international law.
We are proud. We remain disciplined. We stay united. And we defend our right with law, truth, and peaceful resolve; because a people who can mobilize like this have already proven we are an independent nation in motion.

“It takes 2 people to lie; the person telling the lie and the one who believes the lie”
Dear Aloy Ejimakor, read the responses of genuine Biafrans on your X handle and learn one or two things
You claim you did not write it but you reposted the plea for Biafrans to join a country of particular concern and their terrorist political parties.
Are you and Chelsea’s not aware that over 500 Biafrans gathered in Lahti Finland on November 29th, 2024 to declare our independence from Nigeria?
Are you not aware that 5 million Biafrans voted to exit Nigeria or are you among those that thinks that there will be another way to do this?
Remember you privately wrote to me that Onyendu Nnamdi Kanu ordered Biafrans to cancel the voluntary Monday sit at home (attached).
My response to you is not out of a one time mistake from you but due to a repeated pattern of misinformation and behavior to attack our freedom and democracy
You must STOP
