ACMA is encouraged by today’s bipartisan House Energy & Commerce Environment Subcommittee hearing on brownfields, which will highlight practical, common‑sense approaches to revitalizing underused sites and strengthening America’s domestic critical mineral production. The “Brownfields Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act” in particular would establish a targeted financing program to advance land‑reuse strategies that support U.S. competitiveness and benefit American businesses and workers, including those in the critical minerals sector.

ACMA applauds the House’s passage of the Critical Mineral Consistency Act of 2025, which strengthens national coordination on critical mineral designations and provides the clarity industry needs to plan and invest with confidence. By streamlining federal lists and ensuring timely updates, this legislation supports a more consistent, data‑driven approach to U.S. mineral security. ACMA extends a huge thanks to @RepCiscomani for his leadership in advancing this bipartisan effort, which reinforces America’s long‑term competitiveness and strengthens our minerals sector.

The new USGS Mineral Commodities Summary is out, highlighting both real progress yet real vulnerabilities in America’s mineral supply chain. U.S. non‑fuel mineral production reached $105 billion, with states like Nevada, Arizona, and Texas driving major gains. Still, the nation remained 100% import‑reliant for 16 key mineral commodities in 2025.
